Magpies induct greats into hall of fame
Collingwood has inducted four of the AFL club's greats into their hall of fame.
Ruckmen Les Hughes and Mick Twomey, centre Barry Price and defender Max Richardson were honoured at Collingwood's season launch at Crown Casino on Monday night, before a crowd of 900.
Hughes played 225 games from 1908-22, featured in three premiership sides, was vice-captain and also captained Victoria.
Twomey played 157 games from 1951-61, played in the Magpies' 1953 and 1958 flag-winning sides.
His two brothers and father also played for the club.
Richardson played 211 games from 1969-78, captained the Magpies in 1977 and played alongside brother Wayne in addition to playing two seasons with Fitzroy.
Price, a teammate of Richardson's, played 158 games from 1966-75 and in 1979, was famed for his pinpoint passing to full-forward Peter McKenna.
