Titans too classy for Warriors
The ladder-leading Titans have registered a club record fifth consecutive NRL win with a 36-24 victory over the Warriors at Skilled Park.
The home side were in control for most of the afternoon much to the delight of the healthy crowd of 25,310.
The Titans ran in six tries, all converted by halfback Scott Prince who turned in another dominant game.
Warriors five-eighth Michael Witt grabbed two tries in a 14-point haul for the visitors but it wasn't enough to save them from becoming the Titans latest victim at their new Robina fortress.
The contest was all but over after 30 minutes when plucky Titans fullback Preston Campbell produced some magic to score a dazzling 40-metre solo try for a commanding 24-6 lead.
Campbell sliced through a yawning gap before deftly sidestepping past three confused Warriors defenders for the try of the match.
He was almost over the line again just before halftime following another blistering run, but was dragged down just two metres short of the tryline.
A try just before halftime to winger Manu Vatuvei from a Michael Witt cut-out pass narrowed the margin to 24-12, giving the Warriors some hope.
But with representative hopeful Anthony Laffranchi ambling over four minutes after the re-start for the home side, 12 points would remain as close as the Warriors would get.
