Bangladesh needs consistency: MacGill
Australian spinner Stuart MacGill believes that Bangladesh has the talent to become a good Test side but just need to find consistency.
The second and final Test starts on Sunday in the port city of Chittagong in the country's south with the winner of the toss certain to bat first on a rock hard deck.
Australia is aiming for a 2-0 sweep against the bottom-ranked side and victory in 11 of 12 Tests since last year's Ashes.
The make-up of the Australian side will be determined just before the match with Shane Warne carrying a shoulder injury and exhausted pace duo Brett Lee and Stuart Clark possibly resting for the match.
MacGill, who picked up career-best figures of 8-108 against Bangladesh in Dhaka last week, felt the Tigers had to learn to concentrate for five days instead of just two.
"I think it is phase two in their development," he said.
"They are having more peaks in their Test matches and it is not going to be too long before they link together and translate into Test wins.
"The problem with developing sides is they celebrate the battles and not the wars, and that is pretty much what I could read out of the last game.
"It was such big news that Australia had been smashed around the park that they lost sight of the end goal and we just hung on in there.
"That's what you have to do - you have to play well for the length of the game.
"If you look at the players now, they have got a squad of potentially very good Test cricketers. There are no weak links in there. It is starting to come together."
MacGill has picked up 26 wickets against Bangladesh in three Tests and his comments follow Australia's come from behind win in Dhaka on Thursday.
"Shot selection is probably not as good as it is in some of the more experienced Test playing nations, and maybe they are thinking too far ahead in their innings as well," he said.
