Jaques rushed into Aussie one-day side
Australia has rushed batsman Phil Jaques into the side for the second one-day international against South Africa at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
The tourists have dropped pacemen Mick Lewis and Mitchell Johnson, recalling Stuart Clark from a rib injury.
Captain Ricky Ponting and all-rounder Andrew Symonds have been ruled out of the match with injury.
Jaques, who made his debut last month, will bat at No.3 after being called up to the squad this week as cover for Ponting and Symonds.
The NSW opener's recall comes despite Australian coach John Buchanan this week backing Damien Martyn to continue as No.3 in Ponting's absence. Martyn has been listed to bat at No.4.
South Africa has won the toss and elected to bat first. The Proteas lead the five-match series 1-0.
Teams: Australia: Adam Gilchrist (capt), Simon Katich, Phil Jaques, Damien Martyn, Michael Clarke, Mike Hussey, Shane Watson, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Mitchell Johnson (super sub).
South Africa: Graeme Smith (capt), Boeta Dippenaar, AB De Villiers, Herschelle Gibbs, Justin Kemp, Shaun Pollock, Mark Boucher, Robin Peterson, Andrew Hall, Makhaya Ntini, Andre Nel, Ashwell Prince (super sub).
