Hamilton wins US Grand Prix
Britain's Lewis Hamilton won the US Grand Prix for McLaren to secure his second victory in a row and move 10 points clear in the championship.
The 22-year-old rookie, chalking up his seventh podium finish in seven Formula One starts, was followed across the line by team-mate and double world champion Fernando Alonso of Spain.
Brazilian Felipe Massa was third for Ferrari.
Australian Mark Webber picked up his first points of the season with a seventh-placed finish for Team Red Bull.
Germany's Sebastian Vettel finished eighth for BMW Sauber to become the youngest Formula One driver to score a point.
Vettel, the team test and reserve driver, was making his race debut after Poland's Robert Kubica failed a medical examination following a big crash in the Canadian Grand Prix a week earlier.
The German will be 20 on July 3.
The previous youngest driver to score a point was Briton Jenson Button, aged 20 years and two months when he finished sixth for Williams in the 2000 Brazilian Grand Prix.
Formula One's scoring system has changed since 2001, when only the top six drivers scored. Since 2003, the top eight have been awarded points.
