Payne signs new NRL deal with Cowboys
North Queensland hooker Aaron Payne has the chance to become the third Cowboys player to reach the 200 NRL game mark next season after signing a one-year extension.
The 28-year-old took his career tally to 194 by playing 23 matches this season and he will move past retired centre Paul Bowman into second position for most games by a Cowboy if he makes 10 first-grade appearances in 2012.
Fullback Matt Bowen is the record holder for most games at the Cowboys after racking up225 games.
