Italy makes 11 changes for Scotland Test
Italy coach Nick Mallett has made 11 changes to the team that beat Japan last weekend for Saturday's World Cup warmup against Scotland at Murrayfield.
The four starters keeping their places are Tommaso Benvenuti, Sergio Parisse, Leonardo Ghiraldini and Andrea Lo Cicero.
Andrea Masi returns at fullback for the first time since exiting the Azzurri's last match at Murrayfield in March after just a half hour due to a muscle problem.
Mirco Bergamasco is also back at left wing after sitting out against Japan, while Gonzalo Garcia and Gonzalo Canale return at center after helping Italy upset France during the Six Nations.
Luciano Orquera will start at flyhalf, while Cornelius van Zyl earns his first cap at lock.
Making his 79th appearance, No.8 Sergio Parisse will captain the side.
Italy are facing Scotland for the 18th time, having won six and lost 11 in previous meetings.
The Azzurri's only victory at Murrayfield was a 37-17 win in the 2007 Six Nations.
Italy beat Japan 31-24 in Cesena last Saturday.
