High profile player manager Khoder Nasser may have a tough job selling Wallaby star Quade Cooper to rugby league next season, with cashed-up NRL clubs Brisbane and Parramatta showing little interest in the playmaker.

Nasser, whose clients include Anthony Mundine and Sonny Bill Williams, took over Cooper's affairs just last week.

He's been quoted as saying Cooper, whose lucrative Australian Rugby Union contract expires after the September World Cup, would be "foolish" not to entertain an offer from Brisbane who are set to lose champion five-eighth Darren Lockyer to retirement.

But both Brisbane coach Anthony Griffin and chief executive Paul White said on Tuesday they were not interested in signing the Queensland Reds five eighth after putting a lot of time into developing promising youngsters Corey Norman and Ben Hunt.

"I think he's going alright for the Reds," said Griffin, when asked about reports linking Cooper to the Broncos.

Asked if he'd be willing to look outside the club for a marquee player to replace Lockyer, he said: "At this stage I've got no interest in Quade Cooper".

It was a similar response from Parramatta who still have room under the salary cap and are looking for a quality player in the halves.

"We've moved on," said Parramatta chief executive Paul Osborne, who was involved in big money talks with Cooper last year before he signed on again with the ARU.

"He's a wonderful talent and a good bloke, but we've moved on."

Nasser is reportedly marketing Cooper as a special talent who would put lots of bums on seats.

The sales pitch, however, didn't sell with the Broncos.

"If we (the Broncos) keep winning and we build a strong culture within as a club, the crowds will come through the gates, the people within this club will do that," said Griffin.

Griffin said the club had faith in youngsters Norman and Hunt.

"We've spent a lot of time and money on those kids since they were 15 or 16 and they're doing a great job for us and will do in the future," he said.

"I don't see why we wouldn't be giving them a chance."

White said Brisbane's priority was finalising it's coach for 2012 and beyond.

Like Newcastle, the Broncos are sweating on Wayne Bennett to make a decision on where he will coach in 2012.

"Our priority is to finalise our coach for next season and beyond," White told AAP on Tuesday.

"Once we have that settled we can look at our roster going forward."
