Cousins still thinks about drugs every day
Former AFL star Ben Cousins says he still thinks about drugs every day and remains vulnerable to relapse.
"It's never far from my mind," he told the Herald Sun newspaper.
"That's the nature of where I'm at and that may change.
"The fear of not using and the fear of the future without drugs is not quite as daunting as it was."
A controversial documentary about the Brownlow medallist's drug addiction, televised in August, showed him smoking drugs and admitting to using cocaine, ice, amphetamines and prescription drugs.
Cousins won the 2005 Brownlow Medal with West Coast and played in their 2006 premiership side before the club sacked him in late 2007.
After his AFL suspension he transferred to Richmond in 2008 and retired in August this year.
