Beetson and Campbell adorn new jersey
The handprints of Arthur Beetson, Preston Campbell and the first Aboriginal Test player Lionel Morgan will adorn the Indigenous All Stars jersey for next year's NRL season-opener on the Gold Coast.
Artist and former NRL forward Sid Domic has unveiled the new jersey for the clash on February 12 at Skilled Park.
Domic chose Beetson as he was the first indigenous captain of Australia and Campbell, the architect of the All Stars concept, to join the handprint of Morgan, who made his Test debut in the 1960s.
The inaugural All Stars match was a major success with a sell-out crowd on hand to watch the indigenous team beat the NRL All Stars on the two-year anniversary of Kevin Rudd's apology to the stolen generation.
