McKinnon the Tigers' only injury worry
Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens says his only major injury concern is over fullback Wade McKinnon ahead of Saturday night's NRL qualifying final against the Sydney Roosters.
McKinnon is still battling a hamstring injury and his involvement in the Sydney Football Stadium clash will be determined at the Tigers' final training session.
Prop Bryce Gibbs, who has missed the past three weeks with a fractured kneecap, is also in some doubt to make his return.
"I think Bryce will be right, Wade's probably doubtful," Sheens told reporters on Friday.
"We'll have to make a decision on our fullback this morning."
Sheens' side will make their first finals appearance since their premiership win in 2005 after finishing the regular season in third place.
They'll meet a Roosters side which finished sixth after collecting the wooden spoon in 2009, and which won both games between the clubs this year.
"Both sides play good football and they've been good games this year," Sheens said.
"The first game, earlier this year, they got us and got us pretty comfortably.
"The Campbelltown game went down to the last couple of minutes, it was a pretty dour affair.
"I think this will be a good open game.
"It's exciting, we're very keen to be here."
The Sydney Roosters also train on Friday morning, a stone's throw away from the Tigers in the Moore Park precinct.
