Aussies to face Poms in sevens
Australia's rugby sevens team have been drawn alongside England in the pool stages of the Commonwealth Games in India this October.
Michael O'Connor's team has been drawn in Pool D with Namibia and Sri Lanka but 2006 silver-medallists England pose the biggest threat to Australia finishing top of their pool and securing a favourable seeding in the quarter-finals in New Delhi.
Australia recently spoiled England's home tournament, the London Sevens, when they defeated the hosts at Twickenham during the pool rounds and then went on to claim a first title since 2002.
Defending Commonwealth champions New Zealand are top seeds and head Pool A, where they will face opening matches against Scotland and Canada as well as Caribbean champions Guyana.
South Africa head Pool B and face three challenging opening ties against reigning Rugby World Cup Sevens champions Wales, Tonga and the hosts, India.
Reigning IRB Sevens World Series champions Samoa top Pool C and face matches on day one against Kenya, Uganda and Papua New Guinea.
The top two nations from each pool will progress to the quarter-finals.
