Storm set to go in nasty UK weather
Melbourne have held their final training session ahead of rugby league's World Club Challenge against Leeds on Sunday (Monday AEDT).
Craig Bellamy's 19-man squad held an hour's practice to fine-tune their preparations for the match at Elland Road, where they will face the three-time defending Super League champions.
Storm captain Cameron Smith said while his team had one eye on their NRL season opener against the Sharks on March 13, the WCC trophy was one they wanted to add to their cabinet after losing 11-4 to the Rhinos in 2008.
"This game is a big part of our build-up to the NRL season," Smith said.
"If we can put in a good performance on Sunday and take the trophy back home to Australia it would be very satisfying for us."
The match two years ago was played in windy winter conditions and the forecast for the next fixture is potentially worse with a minimum of -1 degrees celsius, a significant breeze and sleet predicted.
Leeds lost last year's WCC to Manly.
