Panthers sign Burns from Cowboys
Penrith have signed former Manly five-eighth Travis Burns from North Queensland, taking their number of off-season signings for the 2010 NRL season to five.
Burns has agreed a two-year deal and Panthers chief executive Michael Leary said he was delighted to have secured the services of the 25-year-old Queenslander.
"Travis is a specialist five-eighth and brings great experience to our halves. His recruitment bolsters an area where we have been particularly lean in past seasons," said Leary.
Burns joined the Cowboys in 2007 after making his first grade debut for Manly in 2005.
Penrith have already added Wests Tigers forward Daine Laurie, Parramatta hooker Kevin Kingston and Canberra pair Nigel Plum and Adrian Purtell to their ranks for the new campaign.
