Heath Shaw, Didak back for Magpies
Key duo Alan Didak and Heath Shaw are back in the Collingwood line-up for the first time since being suspended for the last six games of 2008 by the AFL club.
The duo are part of a strong Magpies squad announced on Thursday for Saturday night's pre-season Cup opener against West Coast at Subiaco.
Nick Maxwell will captain the Magpies for the first time since replacing the retired Scott Burns as skipper.
Also in the squad is midfielder Ryan Cook, who is being investigated by Victoria Police over an alleged assault last weekend.
Didak and Shaw were suspended for the remainder of the 2008 season by the Magpies for lying about Didak's involvement in a drink-driving incident in early August.
West Coast have also named a strong squad, including Dean Cox, Daniel Kerr and skipper Darren Glass.
In other action, Richmond midfielder Richard Tambling is one of seven players added to the Indigenous All-Stars squad for Saturday night's clash against Adelaide in Darwin.
Tambling was already in Darwin to participate in the community camps and has received permission from the Tigers to play in the match.
Andrew McLeod will captain the All-Stars against his regular club side.
"The team has looked fantastic on the track this week and I'm looking forward to the match," said All-Stars coach Chris Johnson.
"Not only will the game bring Indigenous players together from AFL clubs, it will bring Indigenous communities together."
