Dogs coach Folkes re-signs with NRL club
Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes has extended his contract with the NRL club for another two years.
Folkes, currently in his ninth season, still had another year to run on his existing deal but has agreed to stay on for another two seasons at the Bulldogs.
He is already the club's longest-serving coach.
"Steve has had a very successful first grade coaching career taking the Bulldogs to five semi-final series, two grand finals and one premiership," Bulldogs chief executive Malcolm Noad said.
"He is a true one club man as 2006 marks his 30th year with the Bulldogs, after he was graded as a player in 1977."
Folkes' coaching record stands at 223 first-grade games for 135 wins, 81 losses and 7 draws.
